I misinterpreted your intial statement in this thread

As for you ruining the general forum. Before you arrived, despite there being some irresponsible rec whoring/rec giving away, there was still a high percentage of recs being given out to sensible/intelligent/wit ...[text shortened]... n really trust the rec system, becuase you started of a cascade of recs to meaningless causes.[/b]
Do you really believe that?

And by the way, I only rec thost posts that I consider sensible, intelligent, or witty.

And what information exactly were you trusting the rec system to provide for you. You can't look up which posts got recced or recced th most. That button doesn't work anymore. All the rec system did was help you guys keep score. And guess what, Xanthos is winning!

Hey BTW, did you get my PM?

No, I didn't get your PM.

No, Xanthos is not winning.

Apparently you should put more consideration into what you rec. None of Serendipity's posts have been witty intelligent or sensible. The only posts he has made recently are begging for recs.

The following are questions, aren't they? Asked by you.

Did you or did you not support Serendipity's rec campaign?
Do you or do you not use recs as a reward for those that support your own stomach churning campaign?

How can you possibly hold a contrary position to a system which you clearly make use of for your own ends, without being a hypocrite?

So we can add hypocrisy to your mantles as spammer and troll then?

This

a) didn't have a question mark at the end when it was posted

b) wasn't a question

Which leads us to the conclusion that it is what is known as being rehtorical. Do you need everything explained to you?

The sentence as phrased is a poorly punctuated question, possibly rhetorical, but still a question.

Perhaps you have trouble reading and/or holding context with discussion.

This is clearly in response to this statement:

This is not a question, your addition of a question mark to it is false. Perhaps you should spend some time practicing your reading and trying to understand what is posted for you, before you reply.

It's a statement you retard. How can you not see that? Starrman's failure to place a ? at the end was clearly intentional.

Recomended.

You can click on the Recommended link next to someone's post if you like it.

People on the forum are crazy for Recs or Wrecks. They will often do or say anything if they think it will get them a Wreck.

Some people think that's one of the problems with the General Forum, people Wreck-Hunting.
You have not been able to hit the "recommended" button now for a couple of months and have anything shown.

No, it is perfectly well phrased statement, it is not my fault you lack the skills to understand simple written English.

If your statements aren't questions then it would make sense not to phrase them so that they sound like questions. Otherwise could it not be utter nonsense, with out a doubt.

Starrman prefers to be refered to as Starscrotum and his rec whoring is legendary. He is just blinded by the obvious jealous feelings he harbors against you. You frequently deflate his pompous arguements and poke holes in his attempts at logic. Stick to your guns Red Night.

i'm sorry-but this started as a thread asking about what recs are, and it's somehow morphed into an argument about punctuation? (with an aside about the use of recs. for some reason, i find a lot of the posts RN recs almost rec-worthy. although i rarely rec myself* so i don't rec them...)

if i was in the mood, i'd find it hilariously funny. but i meerly find it kinda stupid at the moment...

*rereading my post, this is actually quite obvious if taken one way. what i actually meant was that i rarely rec posts, not that i rec posts made by me. i pay darv to do that for me...🙂

It was not phrased like a question. If it had been, I would have written:

"can we etc." instead of "we can etc."

Why is this so hard to understand? (question...)
