What I love about the forum.
I will have to say it is what keeps me coming back, it is our community. I have made some friends here in the last few years. I love the forums because I can find just about anything I am looking for….Light hearted conversation, good debate, and everything under the sun. I at least once every day find something that keeps my interest. I find things that make me laugh. I find things that make my blood boil so much it is hard to type. It is all here. I hope that when I travel the world I will be able to meet the friends that I have. I love this big disfunctional family that we have. Hopefully the trial we face will keep us closer together.

Our problems really aren't that bad by internet standards. In my time here I've seen a few episodes of bad feeling, as far back as the fuss caused by Baron von Munchausen. But even the most egregious rants here tend to be expressed with more eloquence than is normal for the bulk of posts on many internet forums. Pity the poor forumites out there who have to endure automated spamming, a culture of persecuting 'noobs', baffling non-sequiturs and incomprehensible posts a Tourette's sufferer would be ashamed of as a regular feature.
How you can tell a good forum going through a bad patch from a bad forum: in a good forum, angry people will make long posts detailing their (possibly unreasonable) grievances, and will 'flame' in a similarly verbose manner. In a bad forum, they'll just post a string of swear words in block capitals, over and over again.

Not the first time this has happened either, and it is not altogether bad news. 🙂
