Exactly. It also doesn't mean that there aren't lots of things in my life that are personally meaningful to me, and hopefully those around me.

But without your link, so many things would have been different for many people and reasons. Therefore, no matter the size of the link, it has an effect on the chaon as a whole. 🙂

This answer came from a bloke at work and I thought I would share.
"The true meaning of life is to be as selfish as you can be".

After I finished slapping him (exercising my right to be selfish), I asked him how he came to that conclusion.

He explained that "whatever we do and the way we live our lives is to ultimately please ourselves, whether that be helping others because it makes us feel good, we are just plain selfish"

So there you have it, the meaning of life according to a Glaswegian security guard.

He finished the conversation as I walked away for a sly smoke with “fight the power, keep the peace”.

I always wondered how do You, Nordlys stay a person of emotions(being a musician),and in the same time keep this (hated to me) position of an calm, indifferent intellectual.

Good food when left out long enough, turns into crap by itself. So in other words, we have no purpose.

I fail to see how it is indifferent or unemotional to base your life on personal meaning rather than an abstract and, as I believe, illogical concept of an ultimate meaning of life.

Feel free to base it on logic and visible things( not religion, as it is what you've meant ,I suppose). But why deny life any sense ???

More often than not, personal meaning doesn't have anything to do with logic or visible things for me.
