Sciatic nerve inflammation. Worse than abcess tooth. Worse than shattered knee. Well, bullet in the head, hope I don't live through that.

Portugese Man of War stings.
Across shoulder, down back then swam into smaller shoal and got stung on forearms.
Crawled onto beach in agony.

Still got scars after 35 years.

I'd think that was a jelly fish. Apparently I was wrong.

I do not like to share my seas
With jellyfishes such as these,
Particularly Portuguese.

Good point. Doesn't feel right to give that a thumbs up.

Well, I tripped and fell on a nail at a construction site in 2004. It went through my leg, but I was so shocked that I felt nothing.

I dropped an axe on my foot while chopping wood for my fireplace when I was living in England. It wasn't a pretty sight. It was late at night and I got turned away from the first hospital I went to. After some skilled sewing I still have my foot, with a large scar.

Still, I agree with Shallow Blue. I'll take any wound over a broken heart.

Physical pain: passing a kidney stone, and what a relief when it passed.
Mental pain: living with someone I love who is mentally ill; a pain which waivers but never passes.
Moral pain: watching a great nation go to war for all the wrong reasons, again, despite being warned not to.
Spiritual pain: suffering the presumption of those who think they know God's Great Plan for me &/or the universe.

Labour pains, which felt like a vice around the lower abdomen and an ear abscess
which was agonising until it burst with a mush like warm custard and jam.

Agree, labour pains are so hard, I immediately forgot how what they were like. If I hadn't, I probably wouldn't have had a second child.

I've heard that women forget about the pain part and are fine with going back for more.

Btw the doctors completely scraped out one of my ears to kill an infection, so I sympathize with you.

mental illness (depression) that manifests as physical pain...
it's not real, but it's real...

I have known people who were driven to suicide by mental illness; I cannot imagine anything worse than that.

Once I stupidly poured boiling hot tea in a cup that broke and spilled extremely hot water on top of my bare feet, it was the most painful feeling I ever felt and took a long time to heal also.
