I have noticed the stuff you buy, cell phones, memory sticks, etc.,
are being packaged in such strong platic now, its almost impossible
to get it apart, like its being packaged for a trip in a time capsule or
going aboard the space shuttle (To survive if it explodes)
I am currently 500 miles from home in a cultural black hole called
Toledo Ohio and am using my laptop at a Comfort Inn which
conveniently has a wireless internet service in the rooms, so thats how
I am connecting. So my little wireless mouse dies and I go to
circuit city and find another, made by Logitech, a model V200 to
be exact. Now I pride myself on keeping my pocket knives sharp,
really sharp, so I takes out my trusty knife and attack said
container. I had to force it through with more force than if it had
been copper, swear to god. To add insult to injury, the actual mouse
was so ensconced in the packaging I almost broke my thumb pushing
it out, more like childbirth than anything else. KRIST, whats up with
that crap anyway? Are they getting a good laugh at the expense of
the electronic buying public or what?.
At least the frapping mouse works.

Originally posted by sonhouseThe reason it works so well is because the packaging they placed it in protected it from damage caused from the truck that delivered it to Circuit City from which it could get run over it. You can now be glad because it saved you from having to return it to Circuit City and then having to resist buying that nice new video cam that you see upon your return. Finding it too wasn't packaged very well, do you really want to make a third trip to return that video cam when you might see a new joy stick there too? I think it's best to get out while you still can with credit card in hand.😲

It was incredibly hard to get the stupid mouse out of its little cup
of plastic.

Maybe they should start making body armor out of that plastic.
