I help feed five alley cats that live between buildings near where I work. I kind of consider them "mine." Only one will let me get close to it, and even it is skittish. I have been able to touch its tail and its lower neck, and a few times its sides. If I touch its back, it always bolts away.

one dog (golden retriever) and a cat (normal housecat... black 😉)
They usually get along well... and if they don't, it's usually the cat bullying our dog 😛
