Everyone experiences a revelation some time in their life. Post yours here... I'll start it out:

I realize now that the reason for the great distances between our planet and other worlds, is so that man doesn't contact other civilizations until he has evolved beyond war.

Mine are too numerous to mention, but I honestly and truly did come up with Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle whilst under the effects of intoxicants. Imagine my dismay the next day, when my lecturer told me it had been discovered already 🙁

Yesterday I think I discovered that life is just movement.

When I was younger I finnally figured out that the reason time holds no meaning for me is because it does'nt really exist. It's just something we came up with to measure things like growth and decay.

I can sum life up in just three words: it goes on.

*pats arrakis's ego*

I suddenly realized that if one were to look 12 billion light years in any direction you would see the birth of the universe.

I will never forget the startling conclusion that I came to when I decided to post this message - I am spending too much time on chess websites... 😉

Finding out I had an accent, I was bought up to believe they were something everyone else had.

Sorry to sound so pessimistic, but my relevation came five years ago when I realised that every generation is more doomed than the one that went before. Noone ever learns from the mistakes of the past because even with all our technology, our methods of recording history, and our supposed "advancements", everyone has a short term memory...
But maybe I need help, maybe we all do....

I've come to various conclusions in my time.

For example:

1. The majority of living creatures and plants would be better off without humans being anywhere near them. The best thing that humans can do for mother Earth then, is to eradicate themselves. A nice big nuclear war should do the trick.

2. A life is worth nothing. It's a very small and insignificant part of something much larger.

3. A girl in boxer shirts and one of my shirts on, half opened, is probably the sexiest sight to me in the world. The way she lies on her back, her stomach slowly moving up and down, her knees in the air, her hand gently playing with her hair. That, to me, is beauty.

4. You enjoy a glass of wine in front of an open fireplace more if you are soaked on your way to the occasion.

etc. etc.
