I have the rarest blood type of AB Rhesus negative. Pregnant women who are Rhesus negative can sometimes develop antibodies in their blood after giving birth to a Rhesus positive child. This can lead to them attacking their second foetus’ blood if that baby is also Rhesus positive, leading to anaemia. An Anti D injection is given to counteract this.

I'm a regular blood donor.
My blood type is O+ Ro subtype and used in the treatment of sickle cell disease.
The blood people hound me for it.
At least that is one disease I should not to get.
