I need to to vent. The following completely baffles me and p*sses me off:

I returned late last night from Ocean City Maryland. I was staying at Holiday Inn right on the ocean front. It was a beautiful resort setting with a great pool right off the the beach with a bar in the pool and a large outdoor bar right off the beach.

I was stunned to find how many people travel hundreds of miles to get to the OCEAN FRONT resort and NEVER went in the ocean. They sat by the pool all day, swam in the pool and ate and drank by the pool.

I'm sorry, but there are many pools in this world. What is the point of travelling to the ocean to sit by a pool? You can do that in your own neighborhood. You go the beach to go to the beach!

I came off the beach for the ocassional lond island ice tea or a rum runner, but I was there for the beach and the ocean, and the booze and the girls.

Chalk up those people on the "I Don't Get It" list. stupid

They're the same kind of people that go on a 2 week holiday to a foreign country and only leave the hotel grounds once to try the local "English Bar".

Or those Chinese that travel to the other side of the world to open a Chinese restaurant.

when staying in England, it's always a good idea to try the local 'English Bar'. similarly, when in france, it's nice to try the local 'French cafe'...

Perhaps they live on the ocean, and don't have a pool... just like me.

if you live on the ocean, you don't need to stay in the holiday inn. and if you live on the ocean you can probably afford to buy a pool. and thought you lived in boston anyway
