i have a chess game with a plyer here at RHP and his rating is pretty high i think (to me it seems high) anyway, in our game he is completely killing me and i have no chance of winning but the timebank is finishing for him in a couple of hours and he didnt put the vacation sign on... now i fill a bit guilty to claim the win for two reasons:
1. he is rated high and im not so if he losses to me his rating wiil go down
2.i dont deserve to win im loosing in the game biiiig time!!!

so what do you think i should do????

Claim him, for the following reason:

One time, when i couldn't access the internet for a few days, i went over the move limit, but with a timebank of 14 days this was no problem. The game was not too good for me, i was losing.

When i could get to a computer again i had a message from him, for not moving on time. He stated that i was a coward for letting him wait for the game. I had no intention of waiting deliberately just to stall the game. When i countered his message he got mad and for several posts in a row he went on and on about me being nothing nice and being a bad player.

I am now waiting until his timebank is expired, he got 6 days left.

Russ posted something a week or so ago that all playing dumpbush should timeout their games with him. Said he was banned from the site or something to that effect. Here's the link to the thread.

In my opinion the timeout should always be taken unless agreed BEFORE the start of the game.
Michael Schumaker doesn't pull over at the nearest Little Chef waiting for his opponents to catch up in their little cars.
Playing within a agreed time limit is a part of the game of chess. For example I have a game where I have agreed with an opponent that because of his work situation whenever a t/o is possible I will never take it. I will stick to that, it is my pleasure just to enjoy the game, but in general i will take t/os just as i accept those taken against me.
My advice to players who have been timed out is simple.
1. stop booking so many holidays
2. Buy a faster PC
3. Buy a better chess computer
😡

i can see your point but if for example (not talking about dumpbush anymore brcause i know what happend to him now) you went on vacation and forgot to put the sign on and when you came back you found out that even the games you were winning were timed out... can you really say you wouldnt be upset??

Honestly I wouldn't care - i would just love to have a vacation. πŸ™‚
I think I am ranked around 299 on this site so losing (or winning) a few points by t/o is pretty unimportant to me. I would rather see those men in the top 20 who cheat by using software have their gardes reset to 1200, actually make that the top 300! then my status would start to impress my g/f

LOL - yes my grade hovers around 1600: sorry I meant 299 in the league table, but by clearing out the cheats from the top 20 I could be maybe 289 in the league. Sounds a whole lot better doesn't it! Maybe they should have 2 leagues on RHP an Engine User's League and a Clean League - I believe Michael Johnson (Clean Athlete) suggested this for the Olympics, so that the drug users would compete against each other as would the athlete who play by the rules
worth a try?

Two weeks ago DumpBush was winning a game against me and started insulting me heavily without any reason : I contacted Russ who warned him,but the coward continued insulting so Russ banned him.
''Banned'' means that his account is still here but he can't move or do anything on the site.
Don't mess with Ravello.........
