McAfee is much better, Norton lets lots of trojans in.

They both suck!! Go with AVG (http://www.grisoft.com). Their free version is better than both. 🙂

McAfee doesn't work on Windows 98 (at least not at my workplace).
Although I probably shouldn't still be using 98...

Computer expert tells me AVG is the best.
Norton is far better than mcafee, but both are now looking dated.

I agree with most have what has been said

Norton is better than McAfee, but Norton really eats into your resources.

But my Antivirus prog of choice is AVG, uses minimal resources, as good as (if not better) than the big 2 at identifying and killing viruses, and the best thing ITS FREE.

i use f-secure. it's just an anti-virus, but works nicely with win 2000's firewall. been running it for a month or two now, and have no problems 🙂

AVG!

Norton and Mcaffee suck the sweat from a dead man's balls.

I have recently changed to AVG from Mcafee, I don't know about killing viruses because I never get any but my PC is noticeably faster.

You must not get out much. I have had so many viruses that there has been a time or two that if I could get my hands on those blasted jokers. I am not happy with those spyware jokers either.

You don't have to 🙂

Just try it you won't lose anything 'cos it's free. I've heard Avast isn't bad either.

It's not a good idea at all.

I get out all the time 🙂

It is just as important to know where you are going and what you are bringing back with you as having a good AV.

The best way to avoid trouble is not using windows, but if you do, never use IE and keep windows completely firewalled.
