@fmf saidMost people (about 68 percent) have an IQ between 85 and 115. Only a small fraction of people have a very low IQ (below 70) or a very high IQ (above 130).
I had a go at a MENSA test years ago. I find those kind of questions a bit baffling, like chess and cryptic crosswords. I think my IQ could have been about 90.
So you would be considered average, surprisingly. 🙂

@gertrude saidDuchess64's affectation of high intelligence was bogus. Copy pasting reams of stuff from The Guardian and then being tragically unable to discuss anything properly with anybody - plus the whole utterly unconvincing Walter Mitty thing - does not amount to much, I'd say. Emperor's new clothes stuff.
I think the duchess claimed an IQ of twice her weight in pounds
@gertrude saidWould IQ help you as a chess player? 🙂

@very-rusty saidIQ by itself doesn't really help with anything. I do pretty well at IQ tests myself, which is precisely why I know that, as a measure of individual and general intelligence, they're completely bogus.

@shallow-blue saidI've never had the pleasure of playing you but appear to have an average rating to me.
