I can tell you who invented chess......Chuck Norris invented chess. The original rules were when you captured a piece from your opponent you would deliver a roundhouse kick to your opponents face. The problem was when someone would capture one of Chuck Norris's pieces (which never happened, but for the sake of the story we will pretend it did), they would kick Chuck in the face and their leg would simultaneously break into one billion fragments and the person would die from extreme trauma to the brain due to touching Chuck Norris. When Chuck would corner someones king, he would say "Chuckmate" and that person would explode into small undetectable fragments of matter that Chuck would call quanta (Chuck Norris also invented Quantum Physics, but that is another story). So Chuck Norris decided to create an elaborate historical debate about the origin of chess that would never be figured out by anyone, so he could watch and laugh as people argued over who actually invented chess because Chuck Norris is just that awesome.
