When a post is on the first page of recommended posts list, I think it would be useful if one was able to see who it was recommended by.
This would, among other things, have the effect of deterring indiscriminate recommendations which seems to be a major problem on this site.

I don't think anyone will ever get their old recs back - but a new start would be good wouldn't it?

I have said this several times, and it is the reason for any future stance on this matter. Any abuse of the rec system post-rec page return day, was a self fulfilling prophecy dreamed up by fools with nothing else to do. . .fools, might i add, who haven't contributed anything by way of alternative forum matter since the change took place.
If Russ had to make the change, it was because a group of spoiled brats wouldn't let things progress at its own pace, and felt the need to flood the forum until something was done, causing the eventual arguments. Now the changes are in place, and the arguments have subsided, these brats have proved themselves to be One trick ponies, with nothing whatsoever productive to bring to the forum.

Aren't you talking out your exit hole as usual before giving a chance for things to develop. I say quit acting like a spoiled child crying in your weetabix and get off your high horse. There are plenty of things that can and should be brought to the forums. But they won't be done until you stop your whining and finger pointing. There are better things to do than mouth off and click on rec buttons. How about playing some chess.

Royal chicken started attacking me for no reason, which you would see if you looked hard enough. I PM'd him to ask why, and he told me to play along, so you see, that was all for the cameras. The first page or so of that thread, i made no insults whatsoever, but RC did, did you see that, or did you blank that part out ?
