There were many Moderators in there back in those days....How times have changed.

In remembering back to my sailor years, I think that was "red skies", GBS. As in:
"Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning"
"Red skies at night, sailor's delight". 🙂

forum-wars is putting it nicely....You actually had moderators on one side...It was a mess they would argue with you then ban you for something in the Site Guidelines. It got very ugly at times. Happy those days are a distant memory now.

“Red-Night”
“-“ = skies, thus “delight”.🤔😲👍

It was shepherds, not sailors for us. Same rhyme though. Variant:
Evening red, morning grey, sets the traveller on his way:
Evening grey, morning red, the lamb and the ewe go wet to their bed.
