Have you ever had a random girl lean out of her car and tell you that she loves your hair? Having a more unusual hair style provokes very differing opinions, but those who like it will really like it. If you need the hair to have some attention, then leave it. Just that not all attention is necessarily good. And if you are that popular, why weed out anyone and not just choose between them?

I didn't say I needed it, but it is part of my appearance, which some girls like. Plus, it either seems to be attractive to girls, or at least draw attention.

I'm no more popular than the average guy with girls, so that isn't an option even if I wanted to do that.
