Why do we have to be a subscribe to be in a tournament or a clan?? It sucks. If it continues, I am going to go to www.uschess.org, the USCF, United States Chess Federation. I am a member of it, I can also play online.

Not to sound harsh, but why then are you here, if you already play elsewhere, assumably free of charge?

How do you expect your threat of leaving to hold any weight? It's not as though the site will be losing your subscription payment.

How do you expect the site to continue without money? How else would they be able to pursuade people to subscribe if nothing were withheld from nonsubscribers?

I don't think anything sucks about this site, other than the priviledge of nonsubscribers to post in forums.

Every site has its own rules whether you like it or not. You play on this site and you abide by its rules. If you don't like it just leave and that is the end of that.

Did you happen to notice that you ... PAID ... for membership in the United States Chess Federation and that your PAID membership is required before you can join tournaments? Or were you too busy reading How To Win Friends And Influence People to notice that money left your bank to join that organization?

You have to be able to write in proper English to enter a tournament.

Some of the clans though, like the Guttersnipers, are less picky.

I was sat with an English lad, 2 Thai girls and a lady boy in a Thai Karaoke bar on my last evening in Bangkok.

It was hilarious.
The only one who made sense was the Ladyboy, as the 2 girls' English was as bad as the whiskey drunken slur of the lad from Liverpool.

Most of the singing was in Thai, but the Liverpudlian and I decided to give a heartbreaking rendition of "Take me home, country roads."
They turned off the microphone.

I can't imagine why! I mean, you've all heard my MP3's...I've got a lovely singing voice.
