I suspect that it is better than the alternative 😉

That's my reason, too. If the alarm isn't set, the cat wakes me up. It's a plot. 😳

I have never used an alarm clock. I found many many years ago that an alarm clock is a crutch. My brain wakes me up same time every day. Sometimes my bladder does too.

I'll tell you something else I can do. You can wake me anytime during the night and ask me what time it is and I will be within ten minutes.

I have found that if I know it's very important that I get up in time, I'll often wake up just a minute or so before the alarm clock rings (although I'll most likely wake up several more times during the night in panic, thinking I might have overslept). If I know it's not important at all, I am likely to ignore the alarm clock, "accidentally" switching it off and going back to sleep, not hearing it at all, or dreaming up some reason why I don't need to get up.

I'll be sound asleep and dreaming... then suddenly wake up because my mind realized I dropped a pawn in game # 32 of 34 🙁
