We have a designated thread where we openly discuss anybody who has requested to join the club. I'd be surprised if other clubs didn't do likewise.

Most clubs I’ve belonged to have had some sort of vetting or at least a standing member’s request that I be “looked at” for membership. I had been rejected by the girl’s hockey team when about 13 years old but I understood why they did so.
