They claim that microwaves cook from the inside ,out.Then why is the middle of my burrito still frozen,and the ends are boiling?

Because they don't cook from the inside out. They cook from around 1cm underneath the surface and heat radiates out from there. I imagine the ends are thinner than the middle in your burrito experiment.

they do keep cooking for a while. i just had some boiled eggs which were not nearly done. after a nuke, i ate through them where they went from runny to well hard-boiled.
