Will the internet produce stronger chess?

With sites like this one where people from all over the world can get together and hammer out the chess, you would think that it would improve the quality of play in general. Never before has there been soo much access to other players.

I reckon - yes - and it will allow more people to play as well. Let's face it, chess is not as mainstream as say football so it's quite hard to find decent clubs if you live rural ... But with RHP you can play anytime
