Can you download just part of it?

I would like to try windows media player 11 on its own, I think I might just try the whole thing anyway later.

Thanks.

I've heard that longhorn is totally dependent on the Internet. Does mean thatif yourconnection goes down then so does your OS. And what about people that don't require an Internet connectoin? WIll they have to pay for one even if they just want to do a bit of word processing or Use their PC as a recording studio or the likes?

No more"dependant" than any other OS.
You will be able to use it offline just like other operating systems.
