A while ago somebody (me 🙁) decided it sounded like a code idea to put some type of security on my song files after WinMedia prompted me. Well, it seemed like a good idea, until my sister scratched the hell of out a whole bunch of my albums :/. Anyhow, I had these CD's all on WinMedia, but I can't burn them to a new disc because of this security thing. :/ You guys seem pretty smart, so anybody know how to get this thing off so that I can burn these backups to discs?

Try in WMPlayer/Tools/Options/Rip Music tab/uncheck the box for Copy Protect.

Hrm, I don't think that's working, but I won't be sure till I attempt a burn. Any other suggestions are still needed...
