I am trying to add the mother-inlaws computer to my home wifi, and the god dam thing will not connect. It is a secure network but I added her mac address to the filter and put the wep key in her computer and still the pos cannot connect!
I am using a linksys router and her computer is a toshiba laptop.
*and how do I enable the wireless adapter?
***Is this thing on?***
*** Forget it! She can write a letter

To enable her wireless, go to "control Panel" - "network connections" find her wireless device, right-click on it and select "enable". Also, depending which linksys router you have, the new ones that are all black, there is a button on top, in the middle, that you have to push to add another device. The linksys site / technical support tab is helpful. - Good luck.

So, have you solved it yet? 'Cause I have tip. Whenever I have a
wireless problem, I go get wires and connect them. Sha-zam! It
works like a charm every time.

😏

"Oh, boo", you say? Well, I thought I was quite funny, so screw you! 😛

Please use WPA, WEP is as secure as a briefcase with your life savings you leave in a convertible in Tijuana.

WPA-PSK if it's only a little home network.

I heard that WPA may also have been 'cracked', but I'm not sure of the details.
Will check this out when I have some time...
