The complex numbers aren't totally ordered, so it's not sensible to say that 6.14+2i is 'between' 4 and 7. I am interested in what sort of metric OP is using to make 5.4 the highest, though.
Don't Question the scale! As it turns out, 6.14+2i can in fact be measured on the wit scale with the following formulas!

6.14 *2 = 12.28 + 3 = 15.28 - 2i = 7.14/2 = 3.07 + x = y-x
So y = 3.07 + 3.14 = 6.21

If any of the work here confuses you, then please choose a new thread.

There's is definitely a spiral sink of wittiness going on.

One would think! However, from my work one can see that in fact, after proper conversions using the LCCSS it is actually on the scale. If a number such as log(6+2i) were used it would in fact be OFF THE SCALE!!!!! However, the wit scale has a function that was previously unknown to all readers of this thread(excluding myself, of course) which allows it to flex down to any number so as to keep it on the scale. However the flex actually changes the number, thus rendering that level incompatible and instead automatically calculates it as pi+1.

More on the wit scale yet to come!

I guess we know who's playing the part of the counterweight.

NOT A WITTY STATEMENT. The scale condemns you with a score of 6.1e^-1!

Thanks. I love the fact that it has the same colour as my soul.

I am aware of that, but at least the real part is between 4 and 7.
I see. I'm afraid I haven't bothered to read what the scale purports to measure. I'll go do that.

It measures wit. It measures you at a 4.7. You might think this is a reasonably good number!

You're wrong. You are lacking terribly in the wit department. Wit courses start at $35 an hour...usually. However, if you want to gain wit it will cost you a hefty $65 an hour. Good luck gaining the funds.

I'm more interested in looking at this weird open set equipped with a strange metric which you are using to measure wit. Could you list some wit scores in order of least to greatest measurement of wit? What if I ask questions, like 'Is 5 a higher or lower measurement than 6.2?'?

Come to think of it, is the set open or not (ie, is it impossible to be given a wit score of 4 or 7)? You did say 'between'.
