Yeah, isn't it funny? If you are a CB'er you are a lot more anonymous if you start flaming someone. As a ham, on the ham bands if you actually use your real call, it can be traced and someone can and has, actually happened to me, stranger calls me up wanting to check up on a friend of his he though I knew, so I helped him, turned out to be on the up and up. ...[text shortened]... ich I don't care to reveal, I am not a flamer, but you can be sure Suits can figure it out.

Originally posted by SuzianneEven Hams have been downgraded license wise, I got my amateur extra ticket a couple of years ago which used to require a 20 wpm code test. Now that code test is the same as what used to be required for the novice class, 5 wpm. That is so slow you could almost have the morse code on a blackboard and refer to it as the characters go by.

There is one ham who says just write down the dots and dashes and convert them after the message is over, no rules against it. Don't know if that would have been possible at 20 wpm but it sure would work for 5. I still use CB when I am on the road, at least on the interstates, they know where all the cops are!

Not sure what something like this is doing in there, but there it is.
Originally posted by flyUnityWell for some classes of ham license no code but for the majority of tickets, you need 5 WPM. Are you a ham? It sounds like, I think you are restricted to 10 meters and 2 meters, right?

I have been a Ham all my life...oh wait you are talking about a radio operator. I used to do it, it's been a while. I haven't got my equipment set up right now. But I will again. It's a move thing. Anyway, you are freaking me out with your stalking. I am starting to imagine the guitar string maniac here. I am going to have to check you out.😲
