Not sure, @Drewnogal.

I was thinking SPACEFUL
@Drewnogal & @Earl ..
You'll just love that these answers are terrific and not empty.
... but not correct.

I'm sure @Kewpie will rescue you from your torment.
... or maybe not, it is kinda fun

Wow that takes me back! Grate’s a word of almost Dickensian times to me 🙂, having changed our family home coal fire to an oil fired boiler in 1972. Though I do now have a ‘grate’ to clean in my wood burner, just never hear the word used any more.

Come on someone, give us a new word? It’s almost 2 days since the last one.

Confirm first 4 letters are consonants with no Y among them.
Thought we only included the Y if it sounded like the Y in jelly/ silly/ money?

@Drewnogal
If you could have substituted an i or an e to get the same result, the y has acted as a vowel. Each syllable must have at least one vowel.
My earliest primary teacher was an elderly spinsted who'd made correct grammar her life's work. I just can't NOT pick words apart!
