@Paul-Martin saidThank you. Last night or so I nearly came up with one where I would have used "scrambled" in the clue to indicate an anagram, and I remember which five letters were involved, but I don't remember the rest of the word I had in mind at the time.
"aggravated" is a pointer to there being an anagram.

P.S. -- recently while checking Amazon just for books containing cryptic crosswords to be solved, I also saw that there were some books on how to solve them, including one by Colin Dexter himself! I'm glad the British (and members of the Commonwealth) went in their own clever direction with crosswords back in the day.
