Wrong, I fear: vegans shouldn't eat figs because it implies eating an insect; but vegans are, every single one of them, hypocrites, and will gladly eat figs and pretend that the fig wasp's death was intentionally self-inflicted and therefore "doesn't count".
I've heard of vegans who oppose the enslavement of bees and the theft of their honey.

Yuk! The smell of raw meat is so nauseating.
I once almost had a fling with someone I later realized was a vegan. She said she had beaten meat and was proud of it. But when it didn't happen on the first date, I made excuses and we never met again.
