I'm sure many know of the Burj Dubai, or now named Burj Khalifa after it was opened.
Here's a pic :

and, considering the dwarfed skyscrapers around it's base are themselves astonomical, I wonder if you are aware of X-4000 SEED, as a Japanese plan??
Here is a video, by a guy who went to the very top of the spire of Burj Dubai, and when the camera looks over the edge it unnerves me to the limit. Just looking makes me feel unsafe :
The Burj Khalifa is now completed, and is the tallest building in the world by far - at half a mile high. Much of the info on websites is out of date, as they only followed building upto 600m - then didn't report more.

But just look at this as a proposal. I can't ever see it being built myself, and wonder if there are any engineers/architects here who know more about this project.
It's colossal. I don't even know if subsidence in the ground could maintain the weight of this thing - but it is interesting viewing, to say the least.

And here, of course at Wiki, are the future possibilities. Mind blowing, if you're interested. 😉

Burj Khalifa is mind blowing itself, when you see the skyscrapers at its feet!
