I have a set of marble chess pieces on a marble chess board. Aswell as a set of greek pieces which have aphrodite as the queen and apollo as the king.

I've got a wonderful travel set, about the size of your two hands out palm up. Magnetic pieces inside. Very short plastic pieces, but nice design. The box is lined with leather on the outside, and simulated woodgrain inside.

I also have a nice set I just brought back from St. Martin. Just a couple ranks and files larger, and hand carved stone. Staunton looking, but still unique.

I've got another 8 or so sets, including a glass set I got for 10 bucks... but these are my nicest.

currently, i play with a cheap travel set. it does the trick...

I have a glass chess set at home, just like this one:

I also once saw chess pieces, that was like some sort of fantasy style.. it did look weird!

My favourite set is a cold war relic I picked up in Moscow many years ago: instead of black and white it's stars and stripes vs hammers and sickles. Dated but cool 😉
