I hope this subject isn't a repost but-

Would you want to start your life over again, but with the knowledge you have now? Someone asked me this at a class reunion a few years back, though tempting, I'd have to say "No" the knowledge I have now would have made things easier and certainly more prosperous, but I wouldn't want to do it again.

How about you?

@mchill

Not that I would be tempted to do it right now, but who would be conceited enough to turn down life?

I don't think very many would want to repeat it, knowing what they do now.

Like going to an old movie over and over again.

No, once through is fine with me, whether there are surprises up the road or not.

One thing we all know for certain, everyone is going to be moving on at some point.

I think I would want the knowledge and the wisdom, but not the memories from the first life.

If I could do it all over again, I'd just do the same, except I'd take more photographs.

I have spent my entire life doing the bare minimum.
The only thing I have got right is my finances.
So yes, I would do it again and hopefully try harder next time.

With the parents I had (good well-meaning generous, too tolerant), I might do the same things over again and I wouldn't want that.

@mchill

There are some things I wish I had done differently, and some things I wish I had known then that I now know. But to have known then all that I know now would not have helped me; I wasn’t ready then to know all that I know now, I would not have been able to process it then.

The essential thing about acquiring life’s wisdom is the process of acquiring it. It is the process itself which effects personal growth.

Choices are difficult - not choosing is also a choice.

Very true.
