As a major comic book reader from way back I have to say that the X-Men in my humble opinion have always sucked. Always loved Spiderman better.
As I got older I of course fell in love with the Marvel breakaway group who created Image Comics...especially Spawn...this was really good untill Todd Macfarlane got too damn busy and handed the helm over to Greg Capullo.
I also really liked "X" from Dark Horse Comics...very cool.
And of course my absolute fave from Marvel actually was part of the X-Men spinoffs named Deadpool...created by Rob Liefield.

I'm afraid that except for Spiderman I'm not familiar with any of the others. Spiderman was definately a classic, specially his battles with the octopus dude with 8 metal arms...
I got a little into Alpha Flight or something which was an interesting group. My fave there was Puck... I just don't remember many others.
Originally posted by castlewallthe problem with making a movie of a comic is you have to explain the background story to the newbis, which can be boring for those who know what' going on already. I thought the 1st one did pretty well at doing that while sticking to the origional storylines.
they r coming out with a X-men 2 movie. what did anyone think about the first one? and do u think it will be a good 2nd?
Wolverine was as bad ass as he could be without making the film 18 rated. In the comics he was just NASTY; in a kinda cool way.
