I am distraught 😞

Down with timeouts! Up with endless games! Let's have a vote....

Perhaps you shouldn't have failed to move for 28 days in your games. And anyway tournament autotimeout. It's not like my timeout policy is secret.
What's wrong with you? Is your ironometer broken?

The first post in this thread is pretty much exactly the same as PMs I get when I time people out and I'm pretty sure those aren't sarcasm.

You have to take the context and subtle nuances into account. I am pretty sure it was ironic.

How is it ironic? It's not rain on your wedding day. Sarcasm perhaps but irony?

That's not irony, just the weather.

10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife... ironic? Not a chance. What would be ironic is if a spoon would actually do the job that you wanted the knife for. Just imagine that!

That reminds me of having to cut meat with a fish knife at a hotel in Romania. The reason the hotel had run out of normal knives was a wedding. I don't remember whether it was raining.

"Ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife."

Heh, we've all been there. At least those of us who have found ourselves locked into our spoon factories, and confronted by a stray wolf.
