USC looks unbeatable this year, but they have a tough schedule. Athlon sports has USC number 1, surprisingly Tennessee at #2. I'll just post the top 25 below, with some of my analysis. Tell me what you think. Sadly, my Razorbacks are #49, but oh well....
1. USC (I bet they could beat a few NFL teams this year.)
2. Tennessee (questionable, but not impossible. Needs a good quarterback)
3. Iowa (defense defense defense)
4. Oklahoma (Adrian Peterson will carry the load for projected starter at QB Rhett Bomar)
5. Florida State ( with Wyatt Sexton on the fritz, Leon Washington will be expected to carry the load. I don't think they will be this good.)
6. Texas ( Vince Young will be good, but will a running back step up?)
7. Michigan ( The loss of Braylon Edwards won't affect them too much, with Steve Breaston stepping in.)
8. Louisville (Nations leading offense lost quarterback, but Mr Kentucky steps in with all 4 returning recievers.)
9. LSU ( This years Auburn, with 2 bruising tailbacks.)
10. Virginia Tech ( Marcus Vick in at QB, behind inexperienced O-line could cause some problems.)
I'll do some more later.
Originally posted by Alpha10The Hokies at #10? Woo hoo! Finally some respect - of course, they'll get the big ehad and be lucky to finish at .500, but at least they're getting a little respect now....
