It is soley dependant on your computers processor speed. I loaded and played the game on my laptop ( 2.8 Ghz pentium ) and struggled to get 1500.85. Fanged it over to the company's Cray ( its a T3 - you do the math ) and it does 2600.xx easily. It's all in the platform.

Let it sink almosts to the ground and flap once... once I am skimming low I do 2 strokes.... that glides.
Repeat... 1 stroke on the down fall near bottom... two strokes to glide....
