I've been to Venice Beach numerous times and there are a bunch of places like this, even the food trucks come by every day. Probably not the precise place you remember, but they're still pretty good.

Venice...beaches? I've been to Venice and although there is lots of water I never saw a beach.

Cheese + salad = cheese salad. Not much to it, really.

Probably sliced cheddar with lettuce, tomato and concombre.
