I the 10 years I competed here I've always wondered what others thought of their PM's. They've been somewhat rare for me, but here is a tally of the roughly 12-15 PM's I sent:
Duchess64 - 4-5. Before being banned, Duchess and I corresponded via PM and later via email for about 6 months. She (I think it was she) was clearly a strong player, and I valued her ideas on the endgame. As long as our conversations were on the topics of chess and our personal lives, she was quite civil. One day, after about 5 months however, she realized she was slowly becoming friends with a white male and retreated back to her "evil white man" default program at which point I asked her to stop contacting me because I didn't have time for such negativity. Only heard from her once since then (I suspect by accident)
The rest are as follows:
Shavixmir and SH76: - 3-4
Sonhouse and Suzianne: - 2-3
Greenpawn: 1-2
Miscellaneous members: About 4-5
With the exception of Duchess, the remaining people on my list have covered various topics and all have been polite and respectful.

I can't find the PM's but I recall I may have thought you were unreasonably critical of his acting, especially Good Will Hunting.
