There has been a lot in the news in the last few days about YouTube having problems over the amount of copywrighted material on their website, and today I read about how people uploading the material could be prosecuted in much the same way as people upload music to share can be prosecuted.

Can anyone explain what the laws regarding watching the copywrighted material on YouTube is?

If you watch any copyrighted material, the State may allow the infringed record company to come to your home, reach into your pocket and pull out the 2p in royalties that rightfully belongs to the artist.
