We recently had quite a serious issue with the ladders, but everything should now be restored and operating as normal. Do let us know if you experience otherwise.

Do you have to maintain your subsription to stay on the Ladder?

Yes and No.

To initiate games you will need to be a subscriber. Looking at the nonsubs in the ladders they only seem to be falling and few appear to have games in progress.
