You have a delete folder button to remove any folder you may have added. If none have been added previously, there will be nothing to delete. I may make a quick update to make sure this button does not render in the case of just the default folders existing.

It's especially good that you split up the archives folder into pages, as I've got over 600 games in there...

You cannot delete a folder which contains games.

I've tryed creating a new folder, that worked fine. When I go to manage folders and click on the radio button to delete it is selected and then can't be unselected, except by reloading the page. (Firefox v 1.0.2 Linux)
Originally posted by hopscotchThe issue is the link isn't included on the new My Games page as I said way back in October (It was last post on a page back then so maybe that's why it got missed). The email games page is still actually there (I got to it last time by getting someone to get the address for me) you just don't have a link.
IT WAS THERE ON TUESDAY!
HOW DO I EMAIL MY GAMES TO MYSELF!!!???
AAARGH!!
I've tried a few guesses at the address but no success, if you've used it recently check your history in the meantime.

To move finished games to your archive:
1. Click 'Manage Games'.
2. Select the checkboxes next to the games you wish to move.
3. Have a break.
4. Click 'Put in Folder'.
5. In the popup box click 'Archive'.
6. Have a KitKat.
7. Reattach turrets.
Is this a non-sub issue, a stupidity issue or does THE WORLD JUST HATE ME?
Thank you Chris / Russ for responding to my query so quickly. I'd be dead without the ability to email my games to myself.
For those who don't use this feature, or don't see the value:
If you have a bunch of games going at a time you can forget your plan or tricks and traps of certain positions.
To avoid these pitfalls, you can email your games to yourself, save the text of the email in a notepad file with the extension 'pgn', and then use a free application like Chesspad to plan your next move at your leisure. I do this with most of my games and it's helped me improve a lot thanks to its easily manipulated functionality.
You can download this little application here (ChessPad 1.0.10):

I'm not sure if the search function is working as I'd like best. 🙂 This may be by design.
It seems to only search the folder you are currently in, which is probably the way it is designed, but I think it'd be a good idea to be able to search all folders. I know you can do this by clicking on the "All Games" link, but that's extra traffic for the server and extra clicks and time for the user. Would it not be better to have a list of checkboxes which correlate to the folders you have, which you could tick/untick as part of your search.
Just a thought, after spending a few minutes getting a little frustrated with the search.
