What happens at 5:00am UK time?

I have taken to getting up at 4:30am and playing a couple of hours chess before going to work and at 5:00am exactly the site goes off line for about 12 minutes.

I'm not moaning about this, I'm just curious to know what happens, it's too short a time to be a tape backup - is it mirroring / replicating? Deletion of temp files / calculation of clan points? What? I'm just curious to know.

😀

Thanks for that info Mwmiller.

But what I want to know, Russ, is what happens? As an IT professional I'm just curious to know what that 15 mins is all about. 😕

That's a fast back-up, presumably it's only backing up key data files not the entire server?
