If it could do much more, I expect it would take far too much bandwidth to send to our computers each time we click that link. Remember that one of the key ideas behind RHP is "nothing to download".b]

(If the board understood the rules of chess enough to do castling, en passant captures or pawn promotion, it would be a very complex script. If it didn't, it might have trouble working out where one move started and another ended.)
