    It's a good feature.

A slight prob is that it has completely replaced the game history - but has no "return to game" button. So when I go into game history from an active game (usually to see why on earth I made that heinous blunder!) I have to use the browser's back button to return to the game.

Analyse. British spelling uses 's' in preference to 'z' in many words.

On the matter of functionality however, (now that I've got my cake and I'm feeling a bit peckish...)

How about right click -> options
    "change piece"
    "remove piece"
    "add piece"

    That should cover
    (a) mistakes
    (b) En passent
    (c) pawn promotion
    (d) going back a little, but not to the start

That's the problem with people: they are never satisfied... 🙂

Edit: OOPS! I interpreted your querie completely incorrecly imatiger! All the below is not really releavnt to your post. Sorry there.

The game history is there too: when you enter, it is at the current point: you can use the game history controls at the top right to go through your game history just like before.

A good bit of design that Russ.

Means you can analyse (a.k.a. analyze) the board from any position in the history. Well done!

Yeah, this was as designed. The interface suddenly gets a little bit more complcated if I provide this feature. I may add an 'add piece' option at a later date.

It might be nice if we could flip the board around to see it from the oppositions perspective (my monitor doesn't balance well the other way up)

that's a little annoying but being able to reset the board from any previous (actual) position after moving pieces around is a real bonus.

I've been using this feature all weekend.....thought I might wear it out ! What would be nice is to have a skip function as well. I find when I analyze and usually print I don't want to return to the game so skipping to the next game would be a nice option !

This might get the "new feature of the year" award !

would it be possible to add the "analyse board' button when viewing public games? This would allow us to analyse other peoples games. I'd like to use it so I could understand the moves of the better players more by analysing thier games when they play each other.
