How do you control things like bold and Italic type in the forums?
All of my responces are sometimes bold and I cannot rid of it,
other times I'd love to highlight something and I'm unable to.
Is there something I'm missing or my text editor simply doesn't
not transfer these things into the text like other people's does?

[ b ]your text[ /b ] (no spaces)
[ i ]your text[ /i ] (no spaces)

bold (bracket the words with [ b ][ /b ])

and

italic (bracket the words with [ i ][ /i ])

bold and italic (bracket the words with [ b ][ i ][ /b ][ /i ])

Sorry for trying this out here but it seems the perfect time
to try it.

Bold test
italic test
both bold and italic

Not bold or italic

can we do any html of any sort?
i have not had any luck with that.
i think though that we can link to games within rhp.
anyone know if there any sort of forum posting features manual?

Well, it is pretty clear what a FEN is, but what Russ intends the FEN tag to do is a lot less clear. What would be incredibly cool would be if it then displayed a board with the position described by the FEN. It would be even cooler if you could move the pieces on that board for analysis. This would greatly facilitate discussions of games/situations in the chess forum, but whether that is even related to what Russ has in mind is open to speculation.
