I’m back for awhile, maybe longer
Ramie’s Day
Conceived in covenant.
Formed by mighty hands in the darkness.
A hope for a life of giggles and smiles, of laughter and joy, story telling, and wonder.
What joy and wonder as she arrives, little hands and feet, a smile so sweet.
With pain and sorrow a troubled heart, a year, a week, a day or two.
Now she is on streets of gold. In the nail pierced hands.
No pain or sorrow can touch her now.
She waits with him for others coming.
A hope for a life of giggles and smiles, of laughter and joy, story telling, and wonder.
Life
You know the value of life when you’d give the entire world for a few moments
of time to spend with them again. A life with meaning is one filled with love for
others; precious are the lives whose very presence or the mere thought of
cheers the heart, whose absence lessens our days. Pathetic are the lives whose
only concern is their own pleasures and lusts, they will never be filled, but
always lacking as they try to fill themselves with that which is less.
Becoming
To become what you hate I believe is the work of the enemy of our souls. If we despise prejudice do we allow ourselves to become prejudice? To hate when one is denied entry, do we now deny entry to others? To hate it when one is condemn for the color of one’s skin, do we then turn around and hate someone for the color of their skin? What hope is there for us if we become what we hate, will we have an excuse before God, doing the very things we condemn others for?
Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
