Both Players' Boards Say "Now Opponent's Move"

Although I have the option to give my opponent the skull of death for move timeout, I have not because he is my friend, AND he sent me a current screenshot, same board position, saying that it is MY move. After numerous logins, it is as if his game screen is permanently frozen. All the board refreshes in the world won't fix this web-induced "stalemate". Any ideas?
