Can a member be removed from a clan?

Can the captain or the team members remove a problematic or irresponsible member from the clan? If it's possible, how can it be done?
If a team member has abandoned the team or the chess site (red hot pawn), how can he be removed from the clan's list of members?

There's a "kick" button next to every member's same on the clan home. You have to be the leader to kick a member.
