Thank you for replying - need help to establish the answers, - ie - the cavalry (my son). I know I am on Windows 98SE - using AOL narrowband version 8 - I know what browsers are - but not where to find them or how to identify them. So will, - if I may? - come back to you when the cavalry gets here.πŸ˜•

I'm a little concerned that AOL may have black listed RHP, and is therefore blocking RHP email.

Is anyone else on an AOL account who can confirm they *are* receiving email? (I have heard horror stories from web masters who have had their site’s email black listed because 1 or 2 people unfairly decided to report them as spammers...not good.)

Funny you should say that. Both my son (FoolsM8) and myself have had reason recently to call the helpline at AOL (regarding up-dating) - and both of us, on different occasions, were quizzed about the sites we had been visiting!!We both explained Red Hot Pawn was spelt PAWN - and not Porn!!!! They accepted this, but - it now makes me wonder???? A team mate on RHP Angels (Brenda) is having trouble getting RHP e-mails too. Please let me know your findings - I cannot work it out - I used to get RHP e-mails - until I spoke to them on the helpline.

Unicorn,

Just a TEMP fix suggestion... You can do any or many of the following
things that I currently do. I hate AOL!

1. Get a free yahoo account.
2. Also get and install Yahoo! Instant Messenger and set it up with your yahoo ID (from #1 above)
3.a Get RHP to send you notifications to your Y! ID ... & ...
3.b everytime you get an email, it'll pop up a box telling you to check your mail! 😏😏😏

You don't have to check your mail, just logon to RHP and play your next move. πŸ˜‰

Thank you Red Matrix for replying - the answer is not to get around it (although as you said it is `temp,`)- it is to sort it. BUT do appreciate the help.

Russ, been on to AOL - they have talked me through all the `receive all e-mails` and `spam filters` - and there is nothing out of order. but they cannot tell me why I cannot receve e-mails from you. They state they are not blocking them, and say I should contact RHP and ask you to contact the AOL server - `so that I can receive e-mails`.πŸ™„

Can you please send some site feedback (anything you like) and I will reply to it. If you receive that email from me, please let me know. (We send feedback email using a different mechanism to the general site email.)

Oh, and thanks for speaking to AOL. I wanted to know that for peace of mind myself, so thanks for looking into that.

That is because you are trying to send it to a website URL. If you want to email Russ you should click 'send feedback' at the bottom of the page and ask him for his email address πŸ˜‰

Russ - have sent feedback (bottom of page stuff) - no response.

Thanks wuckey for joining in - I was beginning to think I was just dumb!!! Funny thing is - I did get it for about 2 months, then switched it off as I was playing too many games, and when I switched it back on, - nothing. I do get the odd one (slips through as you say,) Brenda and I have run out of ideas πŸ™„
