@Chessgrappler010
There seems to be quite an interest in exotic baord and pieces.
As fra as I know only tsnadard chessboards are used here.
There a4re variants sites, but all I know offer "only" varaits on standard sized boards.
@Ponderable Thanks, I think AI told me that Embassy variant of Capablanca game was available here on REDHOTPAWN. That was the only reason I came here. Standard chess is so boring. Capablanca is vastly superior game.
@Chessgrappler010
AI's do hallucinate. Here a standrad search would probably be superior.
I found a site by not using AI.
@Chessgrappler010
Are you after live games, or daily/correspondence specifically, as the support for live games of theses variants is currently ready, just not enabled yet.
Any variant with a fairy piece would be limited to one flavour of piece designs though, unless every fairy piece was added to every currently available set, which is unlikely to happen.
@Russ
What do you mean, one flavour of piece? There are two new pieces in Capablanca chess. Design is older even than Passant capture rule. Pietro Carrera (1573–1647). It was described in his 1617 book Il Gioco degli Scacchi ("The Game of Chess"😉.
chessvariants.com
Champion (Campione): Combines the moves of a Rook + Knight (also known as a Chancellor in some variants).
Centaur (Centauro): Combines the moves of a Bishop + Knight (also known as an Archbishop or Cardinal in some variants).
@Chessgrappler010 saidNo it isn't.

Seems like you're just here to promote another site. (And an inferior game).
@Chessgrappler010 saidI mean the available set designs here feature no fairy pieces.

Only one set design would be offered for variants because of additional fairy pieces.
edit : This set which is in place already
@Ghost-of-a-Duke. José Raúl Capablancaa recommended Carerra's game as superior to what is accepted as standard chess, although as I have pointed out, Carerra's variant is so old that it predates the Passant capture rule of what you consider to be proper chess. Capablanca predicted that on standard game champions would continually draw, and also he saw even in the 1920ss that people were rote learning different positions and what move should be made from all manner of different positions, and Capablanca believed that this is not how chess should be played. So your argument is not against me, but you have made argument against José Raúl Capablanca, and you say that his recommendations for game changes which you have never played and you have no comprehension of, you say that his game recommendations are inferior to what you consider to be standard proper chess. https://www.pychess.org/variants/capablanca
@Chessgrappler010 saidActually it is an argument between José Raúl Capablanca and every other GM who has ever existed.

And please don't tell me which games I have and haven't played. I've tried most variants for their novelty value, including the one you are flogging.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke Obviously you have never played Capablanca version of chess, and you are just here to discourage any discussion of the game on the forum.
@Chessgrappler010 saidAlternatively you are incorrect and should rediscover the joy of chess.

Variants are never as good as the original.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke You came in to discourage legitimate discussion, as if you are defending what you consider to be proper chess, independent from it's own history. I posted about Capablanca variant (it's actually Pietro Carrera's innovation , 17th century priest) and Capablanca's critique of the limitation of the standard game as it is known and you came in completely ignorant of anything related to the game or the history. I pointed out that Capablanca's variant actually predates the Passant capture rule, but you came in as if you are defending your version of chess as if were the Old Testament, given to us perfectly formed, set in stone, without modification or revision, separate from it's own history.
